Advantura windows

Hi I'm a new member I have owned my cf for a couple of years and a friend told me about your club so I thought I would join for advice on my cf . I am looking for replacement windows especially the bed over cab as one has been replaced with a sheet of Perspex and looks tatty. The rest of the van is ok just rebuilt the cab and got it running stood for a couple of years but back on the road now. I believe it's an aline advantura it has a 2.3 gm diesel with a 5 speed zf box . Hope you can all help with windows because the ones I have really let my van down cheers John . Ps hope to come to Pickering steam rally can you just turn up or do you need to book.

hi ive got an advantura also nice van old son ...cant help with the window your looking for im STILL looking for a back window ...roxite 80 your is prob same anyway wot i was going to say is keep checking ebay ive missed a couple of back windows cos i didnt ask the seller quickly enough lol .
another thing if you do happen to buy one open the package as soon as you can i brought wot i thought was the right window from a caravan breaker and didnt open the package as i wasnt going to do the work for a few weeks ...when i did open it it was the wrong window and broken but the gizzer wouldn't take it back cos i had-dent checked it when delivered its know being employed as a green house sort of thing
one last thing which for you shouldn't be a problem but ill pop it on any way [ just incase ] you can take the window to a motor home specialist and they will send off your window and have a new one made using by a mould of old one ......in the case of my back window [as you will know] because its bloody big will cost me £350 at least .
soz to ramble on old son but hope this helps ....
ps if you dont want your back window .........................................................................................ok forget it ill just keep looking

guy

thats great, actual window measures 165cm x 60, we tried one slightly bigger from a caravan breakers but it didn't fit, pic of window in this thread, http://www.bedford-cf.co.uk/mboard/thread.php?id=12902
there doesn't seem to be many breakers in dorset so if anyone comes across one would be greatly appreciated
