tyres


does anyone know the leagality of fitting 4x4 tyres to a camper or should i use commercial tyres?

tyres

hi,the tyres fitted need to cop with the van weight.they do not have to be commercial.The easy way to check is ask at the tyre depot.Cheers,Jim.

that was my thinking jim as long as the load index is the same or greater i could fit them, i'll check out the local tyre depot

Hi,if you go for commrecial types you will find the milage is good Butyou will have a lot more road noise.Cheers,Jim.

What Jim said. 4x4 tyres should have sufficient load rating but will wear faster than commercial tyres. They will probably be more expensive too.
