electronic ignition

Adrian bailey has a bosch electronic ignition system for sale which includes a new distributer. I am thinking of buying it I have been told by him that the instructions for fitting it is in the 1986 Haynes workshop manual so I am assuming it is a genuine Bedford part. the price is a whopping £270 what do you think?

I replaced the points/condensor on my Mini with a 'leccy igntion set up.
Makes a heck of a difference, starts no bother, ever, even in the cold and damp, and runs smoother too.

Didn't have to shell out that kind of money though, about £30 from a Metro.

Have you seen these? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bedford-CF-1800-69-82-AccuSpark-Stealth-Electronic-ignition-kit-all-years-Kit31-/180738639821?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a14dcc7cd

The Stealth kits from Accuspark and the Powerspark kits seem to be the same design, a little module that lives in the dizzy.

Your Luminition kit has an external power module, (I have rung them for some advice)and this seems a more robust stand alone system, not relying on the existing power supply.
It is four and a half times more expensive though!
