If its the 1 I'm thinking about then there should be a small section near the bottom of where the seal fits that's got a wider slot in it.

what you do is carefully feed the new seal into this slot with 1 hand and pull gently on the seal all the way round the frame. this can get tight as friction set in . try lubing it with silicon spray or even WD40 , but first test a small section for reaction to either .
If you can cut a small section and soak it in either for a few days to see what happens, if no reaction then you know its safe to use...............

door seal

I have looked at my door seal channel and there is nothing there. I think the best way is to flatten the channel with the grinder about 3 inches from the bottom then work the seal round and glue in the last 3 inches. i'll let you know how I get on

I have a plaque near my computer desk,it says:
If at first you don't succeed,do it the way your wife told you.
A pretty good maxim to follow!
