Apart from the obvious fruits...apples, pears, plums, blackberries etc. I wouldn't chance my arm picking anything for tea without either expert guidance or maybe one of the many books available. we go to the New Forset and park up quite a bit although its a bit harder now that they have put gate up at most of the car parks lol.....we collected thousands of beach nuts .love em but no one collects them any more . we get chestnuts ,sloeberrys ,and blackberrys ,elderberrys which we make into wine even tap Birch in spring and i pick mushrooms but i only know 3 for sure so stick to those .. this makes me want to go out lol ---------------------- | Tue 07 Oct 2014 @ 21:48 |

just a quick addition to my last post... as i mentioned before we have harvested LOADS of beach nuts and after chewing on then ect we have now found that after dehusking them [ takes ages lol ] they make fantastic nut bread ....got some mushrooms today before the rain caught us lol ---------------------- | Tue 21 Oct 2014 @ 22:52 |
