Starter Motor has died

Hello again & thanks for the help last time!

Got the cf2 3.3L flat 6 wired up and running fine last week to then have the starter motor pack up shortly after which is a real shame.

Managed to get it out ok after wrestling it past the manifold for a while.

It's looking like a new or recon starter is needed due to no movement when a current is passed through, just a burning smell. The only issue being I can't find anything matching the serial numbers of the Bosch one that came out. It is a Bosch 9 000 063 068

I can't find a starter motor cross reference anywhere to see if there is a Lucas or other make that fits. I'm not sure a starter from a 2.3 would fit / be upto the job?

I know not many CF2s have the 3.3L holden 202 engine in but any advice, wisdom on direction would be a great help

I know I can get a Bosch BXH137 from Australia but that will be over £200 which isn't really in the budget!

Thanks - Adam

I emailed Bosch & the nearest suppliers are listed here. (I wasn't exactly sure where in the Wirral you were so I used Birkenhead as a central point)
