All depends on what you want to do with it

You can't beat old oil mixed with some diesel but it will smell and you will get coverd in it every time you do any work on it - but always good to fire some down the chassis legs

The normal underseal tins you find in helfords are all much of them same

Or you can go for a chassis protection instead costs a bit more but worth in the long run

Have a look at a website called buzzweld they do lots of landrover kits

I've used there rcp on my cab floor and will be doing the chassis when I replace the floor in the rear

Hello. I use a rust converter from my local branch of Toolstation to paint onto any surface rust or bare metal after wire brushing. To protect after that i use spray primer and matt black from poundland. Then in any impact areas such as wheelarches paint with Blackjack cold lay roof adhesive, again from Toolstation. The old boys at work used to use old engine oil mixed with paraffin liberally sprayed around. No preparation just straight onto the underside to soak into any road dust or muck to form an oily paste all over. Keep away from rubber brake and fuel hoses, ball joint gaiter etc. Downside is it was messy and stank for a few days but they always did it in the washbay at work. Cheap though.

Regards Andy

Under seal

Hi Graham, the best I found and use is Waxoil it never completely dries so it can move with the metal plus you can blow it into the chassie,Cheers Jim.
