The Easter madness.

Hi to all,

Having a house by the side of the A9 north I am able to assess the madness of the Easter break rush of campervan and caravans trying to squeeze through Perth choking up this small city to the point of total stand-still.
Most local's ignore the Easter get-away because it is bright and sunny but freezing in an artic wind which at this time of year comes across the northern and eastern area's of Scotland.
Next week is the time to make a move to the west or north-west and that is when I will have a few days after all the madness and traffic jam's have passed with them all trying to get back home and late part of the week will to quieter, the only draw-back being that quite a few of the lay-by's will be blocked by abandoned disabled caravans, the one's that never made it.
It is the same story every Easter weekend, so a good time to just sit and watch the mayhem.

Easter madness 2

What a week.I have had a Merc 14 for the last year although it's small it will pull but the panel lights come on!!So my mrs says lets look for a bigger car after looking in the papers and local garage we find one.The only car in our price range is a 2008 Ford focas TDci 1800.My wife loved it so we bought it.The dealer would not take the merc in part X so I now have 2 cars and my van.Parking is getting short on space.Once I have added a toe bar and given it a service I can get back to the important Bedford.Cheers+Beers Jim.

First time ever.

Hi to all,

For the first since buying my old Bedford I decided this year to splash out on RAC recovery mainly because of how old my Bedford is and how old I am.
But still carrying all the spare parts and tools as always, just getting a bit jumpy in my old age to make sure myself and the old Bedford make it home from wherever we are.
