CF2 Front Shocks removal

Hi,

My van is a 1986 CF2. I was just seeing if anyone had any advice regarding removing the top nut on the front shock absorbers. There is very limited room to get any kind of grips above the bolt to stop it turning.

Thanks,

Stu

if your replacing the shocks then you can use a vicegrip through the spring onto the rod allowing you to use a spanner to undo the nut

it helps if you jack the van up and wheels off

take extra care of the 2 nuts holding the bottom plate to the bottom arm as they tend to snap very easily
