End of season.

Hi to all,

It seems to have been a very short season for me this year in total just about 1000 miles covered about half of what I would normally have done.
The old Bedford will going onto SORN at the end of the month so time to do a few jobs on it, mainly the brakes having only just managed to give pass readings at the last MOT, no leaks but I think a few new wheel cylinders might be needed to get things right.
Apart from that work all seems to be in good shape.

Old stock new parts.

Hi to all,

Once the Bedford is off the road I intend to do a complete brake over-hall have bought two new old stock rear wheel-cylinders, it is a good idea to strip clean and fill them with clean brake fluid and check the seals because they might be new but you do not know how long they have been on the shelf.
Some rubber brake grease spread inside the rubber piston covers takes care of any moisture and then get the pistons moving with the use of an air-line just to make sure before you fit them that they are working like they should.

New old stock.

Hi to all,

I got the chance of some new old stock brake wheel-cylinders the other day for my Bedford so I bought all of them a fool set front and rear, a steel at £10 pounds each.
So all that is needed now is for me to get the job done!

Brakes overhaul.

Hi to all,

Just finished overhauling the brakes on the old Bedford and changing the brake fluid but still have a number of other jobs waiting to be done, I have a spare set of rear brake wheel cylinders if anyone is searching.
