Hi Rekord and CROESO to the "bedheads" that is welsh [like Bretton] for Welcome. as Dave S says we do have some members from France and Maurice loves coming over to our annual meets at Easter time all the way from Avignon and we are pleased to have him join us. at the moment we are also trying to get links between the French club and ours sorted out. not many of us speak French but i do try. if it carries on like this we are going to have to get translations set up for the pages. have you decided which motor to change to. the old 2.3 slant is a pretty good engine if you set it up right and we have some very good mecanie here to help you. and spares are fairly easy for it. anything we can do to help just let us know ---------------------- | Tue 27 Nov 2007 @ 23:13 |

Rekord, Welcome from Eire. You are not alone from La Belle France. Maurice Mouraret is from Avignon and is a well liked member who has visited all the way to England on at least two occasions. If you study the member list you will find him number 719 I think. There are several more who write on the occasion, so make a habit please. ---------------------- | Tue 27 Nov 2007 @ 23:15 |

thank's lot of members of the french club would like to get links with the english club too, but lot of them doesn't speak english very well. For the motor we have found a Gm 2.3 with 5 speed gearbox coming from a bedford, we know this motor rather well because we have some opel car from years with similar motors ( a 1984 diesel engine rekord and a 1991 diesel engine omega ) the only problem is to find a propshatf ,in France they a re plenty old bedford of first generation , but the cf2 part are difficult to find. the club members are often searching from brake parts ( wheel cylinders , shoes )from indicateur stalk too, and for vauxhall parts too. i'm very glad to meet other fan of this van ---------------------- | Wed 28 Nov 2007 @ 10:07 |

Welcome to the site Rekord. :) Your English is very good; far better than my French. My wife is learning French at university. We have spent a little time in your beautiful country, and will be back to see more in a few years. ---------------------- | Wed 28 Nov 2007 @ 11:39 |

Bonjour. Welcome to the site. Most parts can be found, but some are more costly than others! It is often a case of doing a lot of searching, but once you find the part you need it is very rewarding. Have fun with your van! | Fri 28 Dec 2007 @ 09:05 |

The two French Bedford sites are worth a look. The first, as recommended by 'rekord', is mostly for customising and modifying, with little to do with mechanical interest, although there are some nice photos on there. The other is http//abccf.fr and is a website which is mostly made up of photos and technical specs, and as such is not as active as this site. Also, the number of Bedfords in France is extremely limited. I only saw two or three in the whole of last year, and one of those had German plates. Keep up the great website, and sorry about the insults ! | Wed 02 Apr 2008 @ 13:01 |

I find it unfortunate that you do not put not contacted directly for this issue on our forum, but rather to talk about here. Your account has not been désactivité but surely a server problem, just an automated message sent to members who have posted no message from their insciption, and today more than 35 accounts are in this case and none have been opted out. And our forum dealt not only with custom, but on the Bedford FC, in fact you say in essence mechanical section ...... What image are giving us our English friends ........ Not too bad and frankly comtent read these words | Wed 02 Apr 2008 @ 21:05 |

This is not the place to start having a slanging match or arguing though. We are all friendly people here no matter where we live in the world we have 1 thing in common that's our Beddys. ---------------------- | Wed 02 Apr 2008 @ 21:35 |

Sorry ! Sorry about that, I didn't think people were so touchy. Anyhow, have a look at the sites, they're both worth a visit, as I said before, and judge for yourselves.Robin | Wed 02 Apr 2008 @ 22:08 |

Hello Blackleroc and Petitrobin, Have a look in the section "Club rallies and Events" You will see a video and some pictures of the first meeting of abccf that you just miss. By the way, one of you can probabily find a propshaft in GADE garage. They keep a sample of all the parts you can imagine. 8) ---------------------- | Thu 15 May 2008 @ 14:16 |
