1982 Hymer591 on bedford cf

This is my first big-actually medium sized Hymer, just under 6m length.Inside in surprisingly good condition -- just brought it over from Germany. It is based on a British made Bedford CF , in Germany they also called it BLITZ.
Drivies ok, just a bit juicy, so will contemplate LPG.
I'm glad I found this site as I probably overestimated the availability of Bedford spares.
The only thing the British MOT complained about was the rub ber steering coupling. I've ordered two from classic parts and truckbusters - both were not the correct one. So I hope someone might point me in the right direction here. IT is flat rubber , only 1cm thick, with the 4 holes and largest diafonal distance between 2 holes ca 6cm. No stents.
Bringing campervans over from Germany is a kind of hobby and I gladly share my knowledge regarding paperwork and buying a camper there.
So long
klaus
i've been living here in Essex for morethan 20 yrs now.
