the reversing switch fits on the gearbox turret.the 1 that's attached by 4 bolts If there is no hole there then you deed to fathom out where the reverse gate is and drill a 3/8th hole at that point. then using a threaded reversing switch and 2 nuts adjust the depth of the switch until you get the lights to switch on when reverse is engaged. its a fiddly time consuming job... an easier option is to fit an switch and warning lamp on the dash to enable reversing lamps to be used. make sure that the warning lamp is in a position where its annoying as you then wont drove around with reversing lamps on all the time because you forgot to turn them off |

Could there be something amiss with your first gear selector? All the standard boxes fitted to Beddies have synchro on all forward gears. I've just looked at the manual & it appears that the five speed zf has a reversing light switch.Could there be a removable blank or at least a thinner section of casing to drill out on the four speed? ---------------------- |

reversing I have a blanking plate which is secured by two bolts. we checked it is the place for the switch to go on. but I still need the switch. have you any idea where I might get one. on my gearbox it has a ZF mark on the casing but it hasn't got syncro on all 4 gears. o9nly on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th |
