VIN number. Hi to all,I need the break down of the VIN plate numbers on my Bedford CF 97 360L Y6111 78 which number indicates the year of manufacture. doujoy |

Year of Manufacture. Hi to all,I have found out the manufacture year LY which is 1981, now have the full set 1969 until 1987, problem solved. doujoy |

Confused. Hi Colin,Having checked year of manufacture which says 1st August 1980 but also says reg. 1981 chassis cab Luton 1980? 1981. doujoy |

Hi Doug Where did you get the 1st Aug 1980 info from? According to the VIN it was built 1981 at the Luton works. ---------------------- |

Hi Doug Don't know where the 1980 came from. If I check your VIN I get the following 
It shows 'Year manufactured 1981 Luton '. Going by that I would say it won't be tax free until Jan next year. It's worth a phone call to check though.

Hi Colin, Colin,What I put in was all the numbers on the body plate which brings up all of the vehicle's details like DOM NUMBER and Reg. it then told me it was first Reg.ed. in London in 1980 followed by a black diamond shape followed by July 1981. Hence the reason I am a bit confused, on what you have shown comes up with only the chassis number and says 1981. doujoy |
